Dear Ponce Inlet Residents,
Possible improvements to Ponce’s Happy Tails Dog Park are being considered and were discussed at the August 3, 2020 Cultural Services Board meeting.
The park is located at 4702 S Peninsula Drive, near the intersection of Oceanview Avenue.
Improvements to the park have been suggested by some residents who use the park regularly and was one of the goals set by the Cultural Services Department and adopted by Town Council in January 2020.
The Town is considering a Volusia County ECHO grant application as part of the funding for this project. ECHO grants provide funds to finance acquisition, restoration, construction or improvement of facilities to be used for environmental, cultural, historical and outdoor recreational purposes. ECHO grants have certain requirements and all improvements need ongoing maintenance. As such, we want to ensure we are providing the type of dog park that you want in your community.
